Built between 1875 and 1877, the Fort de Feyzin is part of Lyon's second ring road and the Séré de Rivières system, a set of fortifications designed to protect the city.

In 2003, the town of Feyzin acquired the fort and launched an ambitious renovation programme. Since September 2022, this historic site has become a popular venue for corporate events in an atypical, natural setting. Classified as a Sensitive Natural Area, the Fort is surrounded by 26 hectares of woodland, providing an exceptional setting for recreational and sporting activities, while being less than 15 minutes from the centre of Lyon.
