A place that pays tribute to history...

To create this concept we wanted an exceptional location. Le Papillon Bleu could not be located anywhere else but in the old Silk district of Lyon's 1st arrondissement.

This place is a dedication to the history of the Canuts, the silk weavers who left their mark all over this fascinating district, and who tell the story of this secret heritage, full of memories, unique to Lyon, at the bend of every staircase and traboule.

The name of the Papillon Bleu was born as a tribute to this fabulous epic of the 19th century silk weavers who shaped an entire district and who have been part of the Unesco World Heritage site since 1998.

The place is very easy to access as it is centrally located, 3 car parks are less than 7 minutes away on foot and the metro is 200m away (Croix paquet)
