EXAMPLE OF A 48H SOLO COURSE

dAY 1

- Reception of the trainee "at the base camp" by Denis Tribaudeau: from 4pm (with parking and basic sleeping arrangements at the farm "Le Rozel" in the commune of St Geniès 24590). During the Friday evening meal (provided by us), Denis will explain his definition of what a survival situation can be. You will prepare your equipment, and Denis will show you the basic principles of survival. Priority management, dangers, objectives, etc...

Workshops on setting up and making traps, setting up and making an emergency shelter.

- 0h00 : Bedtime

day 2

- 7:30 am Wake up: Breakfast (coffee offered) and get in shape, stress management.

- 8.30 am : Departure from the "base camp" : initiation to orientation techniques in the wilderness, observation of vegetation, recognition of edible and toxic plants and fruits, collection and transport of water, animal tracks etc...

- 12.00 pm: Arrival at the bivouac site: (chestnut, pine and oak forest...) Choice of a suitable place to set up the bivouac. Learning about the main principles of assembly and the techniques for making a shelter. Learning how to build a fire (the 5 basic techniques without matches or lighters). Setting up and distribution of tasks.

- 15h30: Learning how to make drinking water: technique used to purify water.

- 4.30 pm: Learning how to make and handle weapons and traps (bow, arrow, etc.).

- 17h30 : Departure of an expedition : gathering edible plants, learning hunting techniques, collecting edible insects, setting traps...

- 6.30 pm: Meal around the fire made up only of the fruits of the fishing, hunting and collecting of the afternoon.

- 20h00 : Evening : stories, impressions of the day, management of emotional intelligence, reminder of the various techniques learned during the day. Initiation to the recognition of the main constellations in order to orientate oneself with the stars, night walk without lamp in the forest.

- 23h00 : Bedtime

day 3

- 07h30 : Wake up

- 08h30 : Departure for an expedition : gathering edible plants, learning hunting techniques, collecting edible insects, setting traps, etc...

- 09h30 : Meal around the fire : stories, impressions during the night, reminder of the various techniques learnt. Initiation and awareness of first aid techniques. Making stretchers and transporting an injured person.

- 12:00: Camp up, restoration of the site. Awareness on the respect of the environment. How to behave with fire.

- 12.30 pm: Departure from the bivouac in complete autonomy: Initiation to orientation in the middle of nature with map and compass. taking a course, reading a map, etc...

- 2.30 pm: Return to the gîte: shower, comfort, debriefing etc... (buffet and coffee offered).

- 16h30 : End of the course.
