From breakfast to lunch!
Come and enjoy a typical Réunionese day out with friends or family by taking part in a traditional cooking workshop in our home in the Abondance district on the Route de Takamaka in Saint-Benoît.
The day will start with an old-fashioned breakfast of "Riz sofé ek saucisse pété" and "Ti café grillé maison".
Once you've had a chance to build up your strength, we'll move on to making caris, rougails and a Pei cake for dessert. All made with local produce cooked over a wood fire.
"Gouni vide i tien pas deboute", time for an aperitif! We'll be serving samoussas, chilli sweets, corks and home-arranged rums. Then it's on to the dishes served in "la Vane" (banana leaves) as is the local tradition.
We'll finish the day at around 3pm with a dessert of "ti Yapana".
