Circuit La Saline Les Bains-Gouffre de l'Etang Salé

Description :

Discover the Adapt'mystère "Rally" / "Treasure Hunt" to discover the natural, cultural, geographical and historical heritage of Réunion Island.

Equipped with a roadbook, each team sets off on a life-size treasure hunt lasting half a day or a full day.

Riddles need to be solved to find out about each stage of the itinerary.

At each stop, the roadbook explains the historical or geographical interest of the place, as well as anecdotes...

Participants are also invited to pick up clues at each stop in order to find the final mystery code.

Route :

Start: la Saline Les Bains

Stop 1: Saint-Leu: Discover Saint-Leu town centre and its small marina on a walking tour after parking.

This is an opportunity to learn about the history of Saint-Leu and Notre Dame de la Salette, which has become the island's most important place of pilgrimage.

Stop 2: Pointe au Sel: Discover this sensitive and protected area. An exceptional natural site with an arid climate, basalt rock and permanent sea spray. It's also an opportunity to find out more about how salt was made in the past by visiting the salt museum (closed on Mondays)

Stop 3: Souffleur de Saint-Leu: Discover this natural curiosity, where the swell from the Indian Ocean meets the island's rocky coastline, producing a violent jet of spray that can rise to heights of several metres.

Stop 4: Etang Salé beach: After a stop off the beaten track at the body of water that gave its name to "Etang Salé", the tour ends on this large black sand beach lined with filaos.

Prize-giving ceremony on the beach.

Full-day option until 2.30pm

Stop 5: Etang Salé chasm.

Discover this long natural corridor formed by black rocks where the waves crash and crash.

Prizes will be awarded after a short walk along the coast, guided by the roadbook.

Getting around: Of course, you'll need to use your own car for most of the route.

Some stages are on foot.

The idea is to divide the participants into teams, and therefore into cars. For example, teams of 3 or 4 people per car.

Most of the activity will take place outdoors, not in a car!

Content of the service:

- Each team receives a folder containing a roadbook and a pencil.

- Itinerary and treasure hunt lasting between 3 and 5 hours.

- A guide will be present at the start to hand out the roadbooks and provide explanations.

- A guide will be on hand at the finish to open the treasure boxes and hand out the prizes.

Duration: 2 possible formats

Half-day (3 hours): 9.30am-12.30pm

Full day (5 hours): 9.30am-2.30pm (with a 1-hour lunch break)
