The history of this venue:

At the beginning of the 20th century, "Aux Belles Poules" was one of the most famous brothels in Paris.

It's hard to know its exact history, but this characterful establishment enjoyed its hours of glory and debauchery during the 1920s.

In the secrecy of its velvets, this brothel of the Roaring Twenties welcomed Parisian high society, who came to socialise within its walls, where parties, filles de joie and champagne were never in short supply.

In 1948, following the Marthe Richard law, which put an end to all brothels, "Aux Belles Poules" had to close its doors.
