Come on board for a half-day of initiation that's sure to leave a lasting impression!
Introductory biodiversity-sustainable beekeeping workshops generally last 2h/2h30, flexible according to the interest and questions of the group, with the reception areas reserved just for you for half a day at the Ferme de la Villette.
This workshop format provides a concrete overview of what we know about bees and how we can protect them, while offering an original and friendly team-building activity for all your teams, easily accessible by public transport.
After discovering the Passenger Gardens and all the plants and insects that live there, the biodiversity - sustainable beekeeping workshop is divided into 3 main parts:
First theoretical part:
Introduction to basic vocabulary, explanation of how a bee colony is organised, how honey is harvested, environmental issues relating to pollinators, demonstration of how to run a hive, etc.
The idea here is to interact in a precise but informal and relaxed setting to get a good grounding and then move on to practice, but also to encourage exchanges between employees.
Second practical part:
We put on our overalls to open the hives and take a closer look at the wax combs, the honey reserves, the larvae, the dance of the bees and, of course, the queen!
Each participant will be invited to handle the frames to observe and better understand the workings of the colony and the profession of beekeeper. The idea is to immerse yourself in the heart of different hives to compare and explain the different dynamics. This unique experience is precious time that serves as a support for cohesion and the development of synergies between employees.
Third part: tasting and debriefing:
Tasting of Honey produced on site and a selection of local and original honeys, guide to learn how to recognise quality products from the hive, followed by a time for discussion to ask questions, encourage interaction between all the employees on their experience of the hives, raise awareness of the importance of the hives and the importance of the beehives.this will be followed by a discussion period to ask questions and encourage all employees to talk about their experiences with the beehives, and to raise awareness of the practical steps that can be taken by individuals and by your company to protect bees and biodiversity.
Throughout the activity, it will be possible to open up the themes of biodiversity protection and climate change through the prism of beekeeping and relate them to your own issues.
It will of course be possible to use the images taken during the workshop as a means of communication on social networks or on your website to demonstrate your commitment.
