Initiation to Falconry and birds of prey + Visit of the Zoological Park

Description

Falconry is the traditional activity of training a bird of prey to catch game in its natural environment. Initiate yourself to this ancestral art during a 3-hour workshop.

In the heart of the brand new Reunion Park!

At the end of this initiation, you will benefit from a guided tour of the 1st Zoological Park of Reunion Island! Open in June 2021!

Through a theoretical and practical approach, you will approach falconry under its most diverse aspects.

During this privileged moment, you will discover the history of this practice, the functioning and the place of these birds of prey in the ecosystem as well as the great morphological adaptation of these birds of prey in relation to their hunting methods.

The falconers will then provide you with the technical basics that will enable you to carry one of their birds of prey and accompany them, bird in hand, during a free flight session in the wild.

Children from 10 years old accompanied by an adult - From 16 years old with parental authorisation.

Adult rate (initiation + visit) = 90€.

Child rate (initiation + visit ) = 58€.
