Take on the mythical 3 Salazes on Réunion Island with Thierry, a High Mountain Guide.

With 25 years' experience as a state-certified high mountain guide/canyonist and first-aid mountain instructor with the PGHM, he'll be able to transcend your day and accompany you on this unique experience!

The 3 Salazes are three small points that you won't be able to miss if you're in Mafate or Cilaos. Facing the sky, these three 'stakes' (in Malagasy) stand at 2132 m, on the ridge linking the Grand Bénare to the Gros Morne.

This ridge crossing to the 3 Salazes is a must-do alpine hike on Réunion Island. With its unique panoramic views over both the Mafate and Cilaos cirques, and the activities on offer on this day, you'll be able to challenge yourself in complete safety: climbing, abseiling, walking on the ridge, and zip-lining between two Salazes... It's a day full of thrills and spills!

Participants should be physically fit, used to hiking, not have a phobia of heights and not need any climbing experience.

THE 2 POSSIBLE OUTINGS

• 3 Salazes "classic" - €100

Duration: approx. 10h, 1100 m ascent, 11 km return.

Equipment required: headlamp, rucksack (minimum 20 litres), trainers or hiking boots in good condition, trousers and T-shirt, warm jacket, gloves and hat (especially in winter), rain jacket, sunglasses, sun cream, water (minimum 2 litres), snacks and sandwiches.

Equipment provided: helmet, harness, etc. Photos and videos provided.

No climbing experience is required. However, you must be in good physical condition and have a healthy fear of heights, which could prevent you from climbing (the fear of heights is logical).

• 3 Salazes "intégral" (sporty) - €150

A more challenging route for those aged 16 and over.

Duration: approx. 11 hrs, 1250 m ascent, 11 km.

Equipment required: headlamp, rucksack (minimum 20 litres), trainers or hiking boots in good condition, trousers and T-shirt, warm jacket, gloves and hat (especially in winter), rain jacket, sunglasses, sun cream, water (minimum 2 litres), snacks and sandwiches.

Meeting time : 03:30. Return around 14:30.

Meeting point: At the start of the Col du Taibit trail on the Ilet à cordes road.
