Kaba lontan workshop - Cyanotype workshop Group activity

Description

A creative Team Building event based around the customisation of a lontan kaba. Work with your colleagues to create the most beautiful kaba in your team and leave with your own creations!

Workshops available throughout Réunion Island!

Up to 30 participants per workshop.

During the workshop, participants will learn the art of the cyanotype, an ancient photographic process used to produce Prussian blue prints.

And what better way to remind us of "dan'tan lontan" than with the Lambrequin and the Kour plants.

Each participant will leave with his or her own eco-friendly "ti kaba lontan"!

Course of the workshop

Presentation and history of the cyanotype

Heritage history and architectural function of the Pei mantling

Presentation of the equipment

Cyanotype printing process

Choosing and placing the valance and plants

Photosynthesis of creation

Rinsing and revealing the print

Why the "Kaba Lontan" cyanotype workshop?

Here, we tried to meet three requirements:

⁃ a heritage approach around the history of the lambrequin and its architectural functions on Creole huts,

⁃ an eco-responsible approach with a useful creation that can be reused on a daily basis,

⁃ a modern and creative approach with a kaba lontan which is a tote-bag revisited with cyanotype printing using local and heritage elements.

Don't wait any longer, offer your employees a creative workshop during which they'll go home with a souvenir!
