Take part in a day-long charity team-building event in Rungis!

The Banque Solidaire de l’Equipement (BSE) is a solidarity-based, circular economy initiative launched by Emmaüs Défi to tackle the challenges of poor housing and precarious living conditions!
The BSE offers vulnerable households securing permanent accommodation for the first time the chance to furnish their homes with new or nearly new household items donated by our corporate partners. Beneficiary households are referred by social partners and gain access to our scheme after having experienced a period of extreme precariousness in temporary accommodation or on the streets.

To store and distribute all this equipment, the BSE relies on a warehouse operated by L’Equipage, a social integration enterprise specialising in logistics and launched by Emmaüs Défi.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside BSE staff on integration programmes and/or permanent staff from Emmaüs Défi, you will help carry out various tasks:

• Order preparation
• Receiving, sorting and cataloguing donations (decorative items, furniture, sofas, etc.)
• Sorting and repackaging bedding
• Preparing pallets of loose goods for BSE branches

Schedule for the day

9.30 am: Welcome and breakfast
9.45–10.15 am: Introduction to the charity
10.15 am: Team allocation and briefing
10.30 am–12 noon: Workshops
12.00–1.00 pm: Packed lunch provided by a caterer, included in the package.
1.00 pm–4.00 pm: Workshops
4.00–4.30 pm: Tidying up and end of the day!

What to bring

Warm, old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty
Safety shoes (if you don’t have any, they can be provided)
Bottles of water or water flasks
And a positive attitude!
