Executive Committee on the Move – A day to transform your executive committee

Description

What if your executive committee were to transform itself through the decisions it makes, rather than simply through what it understands? ‘Codir en mouvement’ is a one-day group experience that places your executives in real-life scenarios, outside the usual corporate setting, to observe their behaviour, change their habits and make concrete decisions.

Improvisation, circus, singing, radio or theatre: choose the setting that best suits the focus of your executive seminar or CODIR team-building event. Each experience is accessible to everyone, with no prior requirements, and concludes with a collective decision and a concrete outcome.

The concept

Experiencing something outside the norm

The group discovers an artistic practice through accessible exercises, then tackles increasingly engaging collective challenges. Behaviours become apparent: who takes the lead, who waits, who controls, who supports?

Linking the experience to the reality of the executive committee

A debriefing session puts what has been experienced into perspective with how the executive committee actually operates: cooperation, communication, decision-making and governance.

Deciding and committing

The day concludes with a collective decision and a concrete outcome, ensuring that the experience translates into action as soon as everyone returns to the office.

Adapting – Improvisation – ‘Bouncing Back’

The scenario changes, new information arrives, a crisis arises: how does your executive committee respond? Through improvised role-plays inspired by the day-to-day life of an executive committee (loss of a client, strategic disagreement, change in priorities), your executives learn to listen, accept, bounce back and build on whatever happens.

• Outcome: a decision on how to adapt and the initial commitments that follow.
• Capacity: 8 to 15 participants (an ‘improvisation match’ format is available for larger groups)
• Venue: at your premises (multi-purpose room), in a theatre, studio or seminar venue.

Cooperation – The Circus – ‘Balance’

Balls, objects, apparatus… and no one succeeds alone. Group juggling, passing objects, coordination challenges: the circus brings collective behaviours to the fore. Who takes their place? Who is in control? Who helps? Who knows how to trust?

• Outcome: a collective commitment to how the group operates.
• Capacity: 6 to 12 participants (for larger groups, an additional facilitator is required)
• Venue: a circus school, multi-purpose hall, event space or suitable seminar venue.

Aligning – Singing – ‘The Choir’

Every voice has its own timbre, rhythm and personality… and yet we must produce something together. Vocal exercises, rhythms and simple songs – with no musical prior knowledge required – to check whether your executive committee is truly aligned or merely gathered together.

• Outcome: your shared musical score.
• Capacity: 6 to 12 participants, up to 20 in an extended choir format (4 groups of 5)
• Venue: rehearsal studio, music room, cultural centre or suitable seminar venue.

Conveying a vision – Radio – ‘The Frequency’

“If your company were to broadcast a programme today, what would you want to say?” The executive committee becomes a newsroom: it chooses an angle, structures the segments, allocates roles… then the microphones are switched on. The microphone immediately reveals the coherence of your collective vision.

• Deliverable: a recorded programme and the foundations of your shared message.
• Capacity: 6 to 8 participants
• Venue: in a radio studio or professional podcast studio, or a mobile studio set up in a suitable location.

Daring – Theatre – ‘The Performance’

Decision-maker, manager, expert, negotiator: a leader is constantly playing a role. Theatre allows you to step out of that role, reverse positions and re-enact everyday situations in a different way (disagreement, difficult decisions, sensitive announcements). The stage becomes a laboratory for change.

• Outcome: a decision to bring about change and the first steps towards putting it into action.
• Capacity: 6 to 12 participants
• Venue: theatre, rehearsal room, studio, multi-purpose hall or seminar venue.

• Finding your feet: initial exercises to identify your reflexes and your place within the group
