Location: A large-capacity holiday cottage is situated in Vernoux-en-Vivarais, 30 minutes west of Valence, 1 hour 40 minutes from Lyon, Grenoble and Saint-Étienne, and 2 hours from Marseille.

Les Blaches is close enough to the village to walk there (1.5 km), but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet!

Accommodation:

45 beds across 12 rooms

(7 double rooms, 2 triple rooms, 2 quadruple rooms and a cosy, fully renovated 17-bed dormitory in the style of a modern youth hostel).

Outdoor facilities and leisure:

Outside, we have a large bar, a barbecue, an oven for bread, pizzas and gratins, a table tennis table, pétanque and molky balls, etc.

EXAMPLE OF A TYPICAL DAY

A day of total immersion in nature, rich in individual and group experiences, challenges and learning, through a mind-heart-body approach, to have fun, push your limits, discover and foster solidarity and mutual support within your team.

06:00: Early morning wake-up

06:30–07:00: Body wake-up

07:00–08:00: Morning exploration in the great outdoors

08.15–09.00: Breakfast outdoors

09:00–11:30: Orienteering and activity at the finish line

11.30–14.00: Lunch in the countryside cooked over a wood fire

14:00–16:30: Survival challenge

4.30 pm–5.30 pm: Closing rituals: reflection, discussion and sharing of insights and feelings from the day.

A bit of history about Les Blaches…

In the 19th century, a silk mill was built at Les Blaches. The female workers twisted the silk thread and stayed overnight on the premises. The machines were powered by water, thanks to the Rantoine stream which flows at the foot of the property.

When the silk trade began to decline, the Diocese of Valence bought the property. The estate was then converted to house a holiday camp. Over 200 children used to come here to spend their summer months!

Since the 1980s, a succession of private owners have lived at Les Blaches. They established a group holiday accommodation there, building on the site’s tradition of welcoming visitors.

As owners of Les Blaches since 2017, our family is keen to breathe new life into this place steeped in history and to write new chapters in its story: welcome to our wonderful adventure!
