The great Musical Games & Challenges tournament
Take part in the first "Team Building Show" based around musical challenges!
Description
A great activity based around musical challenges and games on Réunion Island!
Your next Team Building activity will be a mix of several fun and crazy musical games!
Mixing 100% musical activities, song-guessing challenges with constraints, and even physical challenges (with sumo wrestling), discover Réunion's first "Grand Tournament of Musical Games"!
Course
1. Introduction and allocation of teams (15 minutes)
Participants are warmly welcomed to the sound of lively, popular background music. Team formation
Participants are divided into 3 or 4 teams of equal size.
The host presents the game, the various events and the rules.
2. Game 1: The "Physical Quiz" (30 minutes)
A challenge combining musical recognition and physical agility!
Each team stands behind a starting line. Fun accessories such as potato sacks and sumo suits are provided for each team.
How it works : Music is played. As soon as a team thinks it knows the artist and the title, one of its members takes off, equipped with his or her accessory (potato sack or sumo costume), crosses a series of simple obstacles and joins the referee, stationed around ten metres away. The first person to give the right answer wins points for their team. The rider must change for each round.
OPTION "If indoors": Péi telephone
Transmit a complex phrase or song title from one end of a single file to the other, while all the players wear hard hats, a loudspeaker broadcasts music at high volume.
● The teams pass one after the other (so that everyone can enjoy the show).
● The members of a team stand in single file, all facing the back of the room, except the first.
● Each player wears a construction helmet, rhythmic music loud enough and played through a loudspeaker so that the neighbours cannot be heard.
3. Game 2: "Accelerated Music" (30 minutes)
Teams will have to use their keen ears to recognise classics played at surprising speed.
Extracts from well-known songs are played at accelerated speed (x1.5 or x2). Each team has an answer sheet on which to record the title and artist of the song.
Examples of titles: "Happy" by Pharrell Williams, "Dernière Danse" by Indila, "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson, etc.
4. Break (10 minutes)
5. Game 3: "The Hole Blind Test" (30 minutes)
A lyrical memory challenge where teams have to fill in the missing lyrics of a song.
A song is played and then stopped at a key moment. Each team, equipped with a slate and a felt-tip pen, has to write down the exact continuation of the lyrics as quickly as possible. With slates and markers.
6. Game 4: "Musical Mime" (30 minutes)
A visual and creative game in which song titles are transformed into mimed performances.
One member of each team draws a song title from a predefined list. He or she must then mime this song title to the rest of the team without uttering a single word.
The team has one minute to guess the title.
With a list of 10 to 15 song titles (prepared in advance) and a stopwatch.
Final: Le Grand Pari Karaoké (Cohesion through song)
It's no longer just a question of knowledge, but of collective courage. The teams have to test their ability to sing together a song whose name they don't yet know!
1. The Betting Concept: Before each round, the host announces only the theme or the artist (e.g. "A song by Jean-Jacques Goldman"). Each team must then bet from 1 to 10 points depending on their confidence in this theme.
● If they sing without mistakes: They add their bet to their total score.
● If they make mistakes: They lose the points bet.
2. The Rules of Collective Performance: To make this a real Team Building moment, impose these two rules:
1. The Obligatory Relay: You can't let the "good singer" of the group do everything. Each member of the team must take the microphone to sing at least one phrase or verse.
2. The Final Chorus: The chorus must be sung by the whole team together, in unison, to show their unity.
3. The Penalty System (The Verdict)
The referee is responsible for the rhythm. For each moment of silence (the memory "gap") or each phrase that is completely missed, the team receives a penalty.
The Verdict
