Indo-Mauritian cooking workshop (At home) Group activity

Description

A passionate cook, who has set up her own cooking workshops. She specialises in recipes that combine Creole, Mauritian and Indian cuisine.

She cooks essentially with local ingredients through recipes from her childhood but also with recipes from elsewhere that she adapts to her taste with a little local touch. By proposing recipes that are accessible to all.

The objective of this workshop is to learn about the eating habits of Mauritians and to learn about their cuisine.

We will take the opportunity to draw parallels between Mauritian and Reunionese cuisine on terms such as "rougail, satinis...".

Content of the workshop:

Making 3 typical Mauritian recipes: brinzel cakes, tandoori chicken + spiced rice + cucumber raita OR fish vindaye + fragrant rice + satini, a drink.

(sample menu. Possibility to adapt it with recipes of your choice. Or according to seasonal products)

Get behind the stove! Become the Indian and Mauritian Chef who will surprise all your friends and family!

Some additional information: After the workshop, participants taste their creations together. They can provide containers in case there are some preparations left over.

The only drink offered during the workshop is the Indian drink (Satini) that the participants make together.
